Preparations have started for the 3rd mining and exploration forum “MINEX Central Asia 2012″, which will be held in Astana on April 17-19, 2012.
The Forum is one of the largest international mining events in Central Asia which regularly brings together top managers from mining, exploration and metallurgical industries from Kazakhstan and Central Asia as well as international investors, financiers, consultants and state regulators.

The 8th Mining and Exploration Forum “Minex Russia 2012”
Will be held in Moscow on 2-4 October 2012
MINEX Forum organised in Russia since 2005 remains the most significant event addressing innovation, technological developments and investment in mineral exploration and extracting sector in Russia.
The forum regularly attracts over 500 mining executives, consultants, investors and state representatives from Russia and over 20 countries worldwide.
An exhibition organised alongside the forum hosts features over 40 exhibition stands hosted by mining companies, mining engineering firms, mineral exploration technologies and various service providers from Russia, UK, US, Germany, Finland, Canada and Australia.

The Russian Mining Excellence Award 2012
For the 6th time MINEX forum will be organising a “Russian Mining Excellence Award” designed to enhance and promote best mining practices in Russia. The award is open to Russian and International mining companies and professionals active in the Russian mining sector.
Award criteria and nominee selection process will begin in spring 2012.
Russian Mining Student
Competition “From Idea to Innovation”
The second national competition “From idea to innovation” will be organised alongside “MINEX Russian 2012” forum aimed at Russia’s mining graduates and post-graduates.
The competition aims to encourage research and innovation among the Russia’s mining students and young specialists.
The competition will be co-organised MINEX executive committee, Mining Educational and Methodological Association of Russian Universities (EMA) and Moscow State Mining with support from the mining industry.

«MINING IN RUSSIA»
For the first time the 8th “MINEX Russia” forum will be hosting National photo competition «MINING in RUSSIA”
The competition aims to present the diversity and wealth of Russia’s mineral resources through the viewfinder of the cameras of amateur photographers working in the Russian mining industry.

On Monday 21 November 2011 MINEX Moscow Mining Club jointly with the Russian Society of Experts on Mineral Resources (NAEN) and with the support from American Appraisal and SRK Consulting organised its 6th meeting. Speakers from Russia’s GKZ State Reserves Committee, Arkaim Partners, Severstal Resources, SRK Consulting and ARMZ Uranium Mining Holding addressed current practices of evaluation of mining assets in Russia. The discussion focused on the main factors which determine the market price of a mining asset in Russia.

Russia has today taken an important step towards integrating its mining capital structure with the major international markets by joining CRIRSCO, the international committee which co-ordinates public reporting standards for exploration results, mineral resources, and mineral reserves.

Winners of the Russian Mining Student Competition
Finalists and winners of the first national competition “From idea to innovation” have been announced at the “MINEX Russia 2011” forum’s Young Mining Professional Day organised in Moscow on 4 October.
The competition aimed at encouraging and publicising research and innovation among the Russia’s mining students and young specialists.

Russian Mining Excellence Award 2011 Nominations
The Award ceremony and Gala Dinner took place on 5 October at the Moscow’s architectural jewel – the “Royal Hall”.
Award nominees and winners received memorable diplomas.
The winners awarded by the metal plated plaque and a valuable bespoke handmade bronze sculpture set on the semiprecious stone plinth.
