It offered extensive update on business, regulatory, financial and economic developments in mining and metals sector in Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Ukraine. Post event materials are available exclusively to the delegates on the Mining Symposium’s website. Event editorial was featured in July issue of Mining Journal.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>MINEX technical and steering committee members have met on 24 June and approved plans for Minex 2010/2011 key events. The main focus of the MINEX should remain on developing professional dialogue and international know how exchange in the field of mining efficiency, production modernisation, effective management of exploration and extracting projects in Russia and CIS. </p>
<p>The committee has re-elected David Pearce, Director General of SRK Consulting (Russia) Ltd as Chairman. Minex “Russian Mining Excellence Award 2010” committee will be chaired by representative of PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Mining Team. Phil Newal, Director Metals, Wardell Armstrong International will chair the technical committee of Minex Central Asia 2011 forum in Astana. </p>
<p>The committee has agreed the framework of the Minex Russia 2010 forum and will be developing forum agenda. Draft version of the agenda will be published on 16 July. </p>
