MINEX (Mining & Exploration) Forum and Expo is recognised as the largest and most authoritative International Forum on Mining innovation, investment and exploration in Russia and the CIS. Established in 2005 by a group of leading Russian and International Mining experts and engineers, Minex leads the way in offering diversified and unbiased platform for the discussions, business networking and identifying new business and investment opportunities in Russia and CIS member states such as Kazakhstan and Ukraine.
Over 500 mining engineers, investors, consultants and mining professionals from Gold, Coal, Iron Ore, Uranium and Base Mining and Metals companies are expected to attend the forum this year.

Call for speaker papers:
Over 80 papers were presented at Minex forum last year.
We are looking for speaker presentations which would offer practical views and experiences in managing mining efficiency, cost effective implementation of new technologies, breakthrough investment and exploration experiences . Minex Technical committee calls on CIS and International mining professionals, educators, analysts and authorities to submit before 30 August 2010 presentation abstracts in the following fields:
- The current role of mining in supporting economic recovery, growth and innovation
- Competition for Mineral Resources: supply/demand, regulation, taxation, investment flows
- Competition for new Exploration Investment: global perspective vs Russia and CIS
- Mining efficiency: technological and management solutions
- Modernising mining and ore-processing enterprises: practical experiences
- Mining risks: corporate, environment, investment
- Health and safety in mining: hazard and risk factor prevention practical solutions
- Managing sustainable development in extracting sector. Practical experiences.
- Mining optimisation. Practical experiences.
- Exploring in hazard and remote areas. Practical experiences.
- Russian mining and exploration globally. Experience of Russian mining companies in Africa, South America, North America, China, Mongolia, Australia.
Technical committee will be happy to consider presentation papers which do not fit into the above listed categories.
The abstract should be no longer than 1000 words and include information about the author(s), contact details (tel, email), time required to deliver presentation and special technical requirements. When submitting your abstract please note that we are unable to cover speaker’s travel expenses or sponsor research.
