Born 16th August, 1965.
- In 1987 graduated from Moscow Mining Institute (Honours), Department of Electrification and Automation of Mining Enterprises
- 1987-1991 postgraduate studies in Moscow State Mining University
- From 1992 to present – professor of Moscow State Mining University
- 1992 – PhD in technical sciences
- 2004 – Dr. Sc. In technical sciences
From 2004 – Vice-principal of Moscow State Mining University, governs development of Federal public educational standards for Russian mining engineers training.
He is a member of Presidium of Coordination Council of Universities’ Educational Associations of Russian Ministry of Education and Science.
A member of editorial boards of leading mining journals: “Gorny Journal”, “Izvestiya Vuzov. Gorny Journal”, “Mining information and analytical bulletin”.
Sphere of scientific interests: electromechanical systems of mining machines, mathematical modelling, higher mining education.
Author of more than 150 scientific publications.
