Educational background: Mr. Vasiliev graduated from the Moscow Geological Prospecting Institute n.a S. Ordzhonikidze with a degree in geology, survey, search and exploration of mineral deposits; is chartered mining engineer/geologist.

Positions held:
From 1980 to 1987 he was senior geo technician, geologist, senior geologist of Jansk (Arctic Circle) geological survey expedition at PGO Yakutsgeologiya ASSR.

From 1987 to 1990 he served as senior geologist at the mining and concentrating mill Kularzoloto, Production Association Yakutzoloto of the USSR Ministry of Non-ferrous Metallurgy.

From 1990 to 1991 he was 1st category expert at Geological Department of Glavalmazzoloto under the Council of Ministers of the USSR.

From 1991 to 1994 he was analyst, Deputy Director of the Investment Program Directorate at JC RC Almazzoloto, from 1994 to 1995 Deputy CEO of Azcol CJSC.
From 1995 to 1996 he was Director of Imperialzoloto CJSC, Vestzoloto LLC.
From 1996 to 1997 he was Deputy Head of the Precious Metal & Stone Department at RF Ministry of Industry.

From 1997 to 2004 he was Divisional Manager, Head of Technical and Economic Development Section, Head of Expert Section of Stock Exchange Transactions Department at JSCB Lanta-Bank (CJSC), and from 2001 to 2005 CEO of Pervenets OJSC.

Since 2000 Mr. Vasiliev has been CEO of Vysochayshi OJSC (GV Gold)
