VASILIY MAKAROV

Born in 1955 in Tashkent. In 1977 gradu­ated from Geo­logy Fac­ulty of Tashkent State Uni­versity with a de­gree in “geo­lo­gic­al sur­vey and min­er­al de­pos­its ex­plor­a­tion”. From 1977 to 1994 worked at Kyzylkum geo­lo­gic­al ex­ped­i­tion (Mur­un­tau). Main works: Geo­lo­gic­al Sur­vey and search of De­pos­its, in-depth study of phys­ic­al be­ha­viour of rock, res­ults in­ter­pret­a­tion of geo­phys­ic­al fields and an­om­alies, pre­dic­tion eval­u­ation of Gold, Sil­ver, Cop­per and oth­er metals de­pos­its. In 1990 re­ceived Post-Gradu­ate De­gree from Cent­ral Asi­an In­sti­tute of Gas and Min­er­al Row Ma­ter­i­als on “Geo­phys­ic­al Search Meth­ods of Min­er­al De­pos­its”. Pub­lished 17 sci­entif­ic art­icles in spe­cial­ised pub­lic­a­tions and journ­als. From 1994 to 2006 worked at Uzbek-Amer­ic­an Joint Ven­ture “Za­raf­shan – New­mont” (branch es­tab­lish­ment of New­mont Min­ing Corp.). In 2006 – 2007 -worked at “NBLgold “Re­search Centre of Pre­cious Metals and Dia­monds. From 2007 to present – Chief Geo­lo­gist of IC «AR­LAN». In charge of geo­lo­gic­al man­age­ment of re­serves and re­courses of gold and oth­er metals de­pos­its eval­u­ation projects (Rus­sia, Cent­ral Asia, Africa) for po­ten­tial in­vest­ment in ex­plor­a­tion and min­ing. From Janu­ary 2010 – Gen­er­al Dir­ect­or of “Pav­lik Gold Min­ing Com­pany” (sub­si­di­ary of “Ar­lan” In­vest­ment Com­pany).
